The Tomb of Wahti

The tomb of Wahti dates to the middle of the Fifth Dynasty (c.2450 BC), and is considered one of the most awe-inspiring Old Kingdom tombs in Saqqara. This rock-cut tomb, discovered in 2018 by the Egyptian Mission, is located near the Sacred Animal Catacombs. The tomb is 10.5 meters long north to south, and 2.7 meters from east to west, with a surface area of 28.35 meters. Its ceiling is 2.7 meters above the floor.
